DR RANJITA CHAUDHURY

MBBS(1991 India), DRCOG(UK), DFFP(UK), MRCGP(UK)

Dr Ranjita Chaudhury joined Densham Surgery in February 2016 and she has been a GP in the locality after she trained as a GP locally at Durham and Tees Valley GP Training programme in 2002. Before that she has worked and has had experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Her other past experience includes Medicine, Paediatrics and psychiatry. She fits copper coils, IUDs, implants and pessaries and performs minor surgeries. She has taught medical students in the past for more than ten years and she is a GP Trainer and is a GP Appraiser. Her outside interests are in music, walking and travelling. She is married with three children and her husband is a Consultant Gastro-enterologist at the local Hospital.

Dr Robson joined Densham Surgery as a GP partner in March 2023 after completing GP training with Durham & Tees Valley GP Training Programme in 2022. She has worked in the NHS since 2017 and has previous work experience in Australia and Malaysia. She has a special interest in Menopause Care and Women's and Children's health. She is also a GP Trainer at the practice.

Midwives are allocated depending on which area you are living in. They provide ante-natal and post-natal care and can offer advice and details of relaxation classes and parent craft. The reception team will be able to provide you with a contact number for a midwife in your locality.
